Hi, Suzy here.
I’m a registered Nutritional Therapist, real food lover and enthusiastic (and messy!) home cook.
After spending almost a decade working in London as a lawyer, I was feeling off balance – even though I considered myself to be ‘healthy’, my fast-paced lifestyle, high stress levels and lack of direction in life was taking its toll. I was eating all the ‘right’ things, but not the right things for me at that time. As a result, I found myself run-down, tired yet wired, suffering with chronic infections and mood swings.
Frustrated with being on the wrong path and not feeling my best, I made the decision to change course. In 2019 I moved back to my hometown of Retford in Nottinghamshire to study Nutrition and work in my mum’s health food shop. Here I had the opportunity to slow down, reconnect with food and nature, and discover the key role nutrition plays in our health.
Me & fertility
I am passionate about helping couples on their fertility journey. Like many women, I have had my own hormone imbalance issues and fertility struggles. My own fertility burst its way into my consciousness in 2023, when I found out my AMH was low and, aged 35, decided to freeze my eggs. After that, when the time came to try to conceive naturally, I found it wasn’t as plain sailing as I thought. You can read more about my story here.
Because of what I’ve been through, I want to empower other couples to make positive changes that will help support their fertility and optimise their chances of having a healthy baby.
The sad reality is that many couples are struggling to conceive, and most aren’t getting the support they need. Often, the advice is either to pursue assisted reproductive technologies like IVF and ICSI (which comes at a great cost, financially, emotionally and physically), or just to keep trying. Frustratingly, couples often get no help when it comes to diet and lifestyle, which can make a huge difference.

My Nutritional Therapy practice
I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist, offering personalised, one-to-one Nutritional Therapy consultations to help bring you back into balance, and achieve your health goals. I have a particular focus on women’s health, and the wide-reaching effect our hormones can have on our wellbeing. I am especially passionate about fertility, and the power of nutrition and lifestyle to help increase a couple’s chances of a successful pregnancy. Since qualifying, I have completed further specialist training with the Fertility Nutrition Centre.
My own love of food and eating goes to the heart of my practice. I am not about restriction, complicated diet plans or expensive ‘superfoods’. I empower clients to build positive relationships with food, practice self-compassion and grow healthy habits that will last for a lifetime.
