Nutritional Therapy for Female Hormone Health

How are you feeling, really?

When was the last time you felt really good? Many women are not feeling their best, but might not even be aware of it. If you’re feeling constantly exhausted, run-down, emotionally unbalanced with increasingly irregular periods and tighter jeans, I can help.

I’m a registered Nutritional Therapist specialising in female hormonal health and fertility. I work with women, using diet and lifestyle to promote hormone balance and help them achieve their health goals.

Wondering if Nutritional Therapy is for you?

Do you suffer from any of the following?

  • Weight gain (even though you are trying hard to lose it!)
  • Irregular or absent periods
  • Heavy or painful periods
  • Skin breakouts
  • Erratic moods, anxiety or depression
  • Terrible PMS
  • Tiredness and fatigue
  • Sugar cravings
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Thinning hair, or unwanted hair in other places

If you’re nodding along to this, it might be that you’re experiencing some signs of hormone imbalance. Perhaps it’s perimenopause that has been the trigger for you, or perhaps you don’t know exactly what the issue is, but you know you don’t feel right.

Female hormones are like a finely tuned machine, and when these are out of kilter, it can make us feel, quite frankly, rubbish. Thankfully though, there’s lots we can do to investigate and support with achievable nutrition and lifestyle changes.

How Nutritional Therapy works

Nutritional therapy uses evidence-based nutrition science and lifestyle medicine to help individuals optimise their health and wellbeing. This approach aims to identify the root cause of a person’s health issues, rather than just treating their symptoms, using diet and lifestyle to help bring the body back into balance.

As a registered Nutritional Therapist, I will look at your health history, family history, diet and lifestyle habits, medication, any medical test results, and symptoms to identify potential biochemical and nutritional imbalances.

After this initial assessment, we will agree a personalised health plan based on your lifestyle, health goals and dietary preferences and needs. I may recommend functional or GP testing to inform your health plan, and have a wide knowledge of supplements to complement any diet and lifestyle recommendations.
