This creamy smoothie is a great snack and definitely hits the spot when it comes to cravings for something sweet. Tahini is a great plant-based source of minerals like copper, selenium, phosphorus and iron, as well as healthy fats and protein.
Ingredients (serves 1):
- 250ml milk (I like almond milk)
- Small handful cashews, ideally soaked overnight in a bowl, then drained and rinsed
- A few pecan nuts
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon oats
- 1 Medjool date, pitted
- 1 small frozen banana
- Sprinkling of raw cacao nibs
Method:
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and whizz until smooth. Add more milk if you like it more liquidy!
