Cookies & cream smoothie

This creamy smoothie is a great snack and definitely hits the spot when it comes to cravings for something sweet. Tahini is a great plant-based source of minerals like copper, selenium, phosphorus and iron, as well as healthy fats and protein. 

Ingredients (serves 1): 

  • 250ml milk (I like almond milk) 
  • Small handful cashews, ideally soaked overnight in a bowl, then drained and rinsed
  • A few pecan nuts
  • 2 tablespoons tahini 
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon oats
  • 1 Medjool date, pitted
  • 1 small frozen banana 
  • Sprinkling of raw cacao nibs 

Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and whizz until smooth. Add more milk if you like it more liquidy!
