Omega seed sprinkle

A great cupboard staple, which adds a little hit of flavour and crunch to any meal. A spoonful of these delicious seeds are a great source of protein and healthy fats, especially handy for salads and soups.

Ingredients:

  • 250g mixed seeds (I like pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, linseeds)
  • 1 teaspoon sweet smoked paprika or 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • Generous pinch of sea salt
  • A few good grinds of black pepper

Method:

Preheat the oven to 170°C / 150°C fan.

Put the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Transfer to a lined baking tray and bake for 17-20 minutes, stirring half way through. Watch for the last few minutes to make sure they don’t burn! Once golden brown, remove from the oven and leave to cool.

Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
